Managers, Health Care Workers, and Others invited by Ontario in the new PNP draw

Ontario has given invitations to 1031 Express Entry applicants to apply for a provincial nomination with working experience in certain selected occupations.

On July 27, 2021, Ontario invited candidates in the Express Entry program with working experience in one of 18 professions.

Of all the 1031 candidates, all the applicants were having  458 - 467 Comprehensive Rating System (CRS) scores.

The main reason for giving invitations to these candidates by the Ontario Immigrant Nomination Program (OINP) is because they were eligible for the Express Entry Human Capital Priority Stream (HCP). This Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows foreign workers to make Canada the largest province in their new home.

In this picture, OINP Express Entry invites candidates to apply for a regional nomination if they have work experience in one of the following 18 professions listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code:

NOC 0114 – Other administrative services managers

NOC 0122 – Credit, banking, & other investment managers

NOC 0124 –  Marketing, Public Relations & Advertising managers

NOC 0125 – Other business services managers

NOC 0211 – Engineering managers

NOC 0311 – Managers in health care

NOC 0601 – Corporate sales managers

NOC 0631 – Food & Restaurant managers

NOC 0711 – Construction managers

NOC 0731 – Managers in transportation

NOC 0911 – Manufacturing managers

NOC 1121 – Human resources professionals

NOC 1122 – Business management consulting

NOC 2161 – Mathematicians, statisticians, and actuaries

NOC 3012 – Registered psychiatric & Registered nurses

NOC 3211 – Medical laboratory technologists

NOC 3231 – Opticians

NOC 3233 – Licensed practical nurses

Candidates who have been invited to Express Entrance must have at least one year of experience in one of these professions to qualify for the field. If they are offered on the basis of this, or if there is another Express Access-related PNP, they hit the front of the line to get a Invitations To Apply (ITA).

Canada’s Express Entry system

Express Entry is an application management system for three highly qualified immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). Express Entry applicants might be eligible for one or more of these immigration programs.

Once the candidates are in the Express Entry pool, the IRCC awards the candidates based on human capital factors, age, work experience, education, language skills in English or French, and other factors. Candidates who score the most points are then invited to take part in the Express Entry draw

Express Entry candidates who have received a PNP nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points for the overall score. This gives an effective guarantee that they will receive an application at the next Invitation to Apply (ITA).

During the pandemic, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held only the PNP, which needed a PNP to invite candidates. The last draw took place last week.
